Project Overview

Aspire Park is a regional destination in Clinton, Tennessee, offering natural green space for recreation, events, and community gatherings. The park was designed to preserve a continuous lawn aesthetic while supporting concerts, festivals, and vehicle access — without resorting to pavement.

To achieve this balance, Nexterra, through Jen-Hill, delivered a reinforced turf system using the GEOBLOCK® 5150 Porous Pavement System.

The result: a high-performance, load-bearing green surface that looks like natural lawn but withstands traffic and reduces environmental impact.

Traditional pavement was ruled out due to visual and environmental concerns. Instead, Jen-Hill supplied and supported the installation of 25,000 sq. ft. of reinforced turf parking using GEOBLOCK panels over a custom-engineered base. A 30% topsoil / 70% aggregate mix enabled the system to support fire trucks while promoting healthy turf growth.

Once seeded, the turf surface blended seamlessly with the park. Below, a rigid panel network protected the root zone and prevented rutting, allowing the lawn to recover quickly after major events — without compaction or long-term damage.

About

Legacy &
Founding companies

Nexterra Environmental was built on the legacy of three founding companies — Jen-Hill, Ero-Guard, and Ramy Turf — each deeply rooted in the erosion control and stormwater industry. Their shared commitment to service, integrity, and innovation shaped the foundation of Nexterra’s culture today. Together, their legacy represents more than decades of business success — it’s a continuation of the relationships, technical know-how, and passion for environmental stewardship that still drive us forward.
