Along the De Leon Street and Solary Canal corridor, Seminole County needed a retaining wall solution that could stabilize the channel edge, support adjacent infrastructure, and perform in a constrained drainage environment. The project team selected a Presto Geosystems GEOWEB® retaining wall system reinforced with Solmax Mirafi® 2XT geogrid to create a flexible, durable earth retention solution suited for conveyance channel conditions. GEOWEB retaining walls are designed to retain structural integrity in poor base conditions, support stormwater infiltration, conform to site contours, and install faster than traditional MSE block wall systems.

Along the MnDOT I-494 corridor, crews worked through active traffic, tight staging conditions, steep slopes, and environmentally sensitive terrain. The margin for error was essentially zero. Ero-Guard’s EG-2X-NN erosion control blanket was selected to perform under these exact conditions, holding firm through heavy storms, constant wind shear from passing vehicles, and challenging soil profiles. From day one, the system delivered immediate stabilization, supported rapid vegetation growth, and maintained full regulatory compliance without rework.
